  Emergency Overview: Causes burns.The toxicological properties of this material have not been fully investigated.Hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air).
  Potential Health Effects
    Eye: Causes severe eye burns. May cause blindness.
    Skin: Contact with skin causes irritation and possible burns, especially if the skin is wet or moist.
    Ingestion: Causes severe digestive tract burns with abdominal pain, vomiting, and possible death. May cause headache.
    Inhalation: May cause irritation of the respiratory tract with burning pain in the nose and throat, coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and pulmonary edema. May cause severe irritation of the upper respiratory tract with pain, burns, and inflammation. Causes chemical burns to the respiratory tract. Inhalation may be fatal as a result of spasm, inflammation, edema of the larynx and bronchi, chemical pneumonitis and pulmonary edema.

4. First Aid Measures
  Eye: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid immediately. Do NOT allow victim to rub eyes or keep eyes closed.
  Skin: Get medical aid immediately. Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
  Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid immediately.
  Inhalation: Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

  General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear.
